Phew. We’re not really sure where to start, so let’s start with a number: $10,142.98 and counting… which is how much y’all helped raised yesterday at the TMKC benefit.
Thank you is an understatement.
As of right now, that not only takes a hearty chunk out of our outstanding medical bills, but we’re also excited that we can put a percentage aside for Friends with Benefits, the non-profit we started (as of yesterday!) to provide supplemental insurance to local musicians.
And it’s not just about that number, your support, hugs, and smiling faces lifted our spirits and humbled us. Shayne and I honored to be part of such an amazing community. Honored.
We’ve got heaps more to share about this benefit and the one in Northern Virginia earlier this month, but we’re still reeling from yesterday and are going to try to get a full nights sleep.
